About

Hey there, I’m Elli

IMG_4660.jpg

I remember my self growing up, going through the experience  that have made me the person I am today and honestly,  the only constant thing that always inspired me was Art. Art has always been my favorite subjects at school, visiting museums was my ultimate weekend activity and even when I was feeling blue, art was always a way to forget everything, feel better and move on.

Art just gives me butterflies..

This blog combines my love for art and passion for writing. Although it started as a university project, it continues to be a way for me to present the inspiring art I come across in my daily life in London. It is a great chance for me – and you – to try and discover the wonderful art that can be found in London; from the exhibitions of well-established galleries and museums, to the street art that can be found in every little corner of this busy city.

My plan is to take my time, walk around aimlessly, keep my eyes open and experience the artistic side of this city.

Hope you enjoy my journey..

Love,

Elli

  1. Hey Elli, thanks so much for the follow on my blog. I don’t think enough people realize that art isn’t just a drawing or a painting, and I truly admire your open-mindedness on the subject. I’m definitely looking forward to reading about your journey! Thanks for sharing it with all of us.

  2. Hi Elli, efcharisto, I wanted to thank you for the follow! Please be aware that my blog is a bilingual one. So you may get links to some poems in English as well as to some in Italian… Pictures, on the other hand, have no language barriers 😉
    Keep up the good work.

  3. Looking forward to your posts, Elli. I love “every little corner of London”… like a thousand small towns knit together. I’ve spent a bit of time over the years in SE1 visiting friends who live in that staid/funky neighborhood near Waterloo. Cheers!

  4. Hallo Eli!! I like your description very much and I think it is important above all to follow our projects, dreams and keep our criativity up! Good luck with your communication studies!

  5. Thanks for the like and the follow. Your blog sounds great. I love art myself and have studied Broadcast Journalism from England as well. I hope you are enjoying your course and if I can be of any help, do not hesitate to get in touch. In the meantime, I shall look forward to reading your blog on a regular basis.

  6. Art was my favorite subject also! I love the images. Some of the architecture reminds me of the beautiful old structures here in Detroit. Some are in use, some are abandoned (a shame). They don’t build them like they used to!

  7. Hi Elli,
Thanks for liking my blog. I appreciate the follow!
I thought it was interesting that you studied cultural studies in school. I studied that in high school and the first place we studied was Greece. I’ll never forget that.

  8. Thank you for following my blog. Have enjoyed reading your bio and can relate to much of what you are saying.. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

  9. Passion~!

Never lose it. And always bear in mind: the only (R) only person whose opinion matters is your own.

    Good luck

  13. Hi, Elli! I’m very pleased to meet you and thrilled that you chose to follow my “Randa Lane…” haiku blog! I’ve just been reading about your passion for art and the wonderful artistic opportunities you are enjoying in school. May you always be as happy and joy-filled as you are now! My passion is of a similar sort,,,expressed with words…through the tiny form of haiku. I have loved haiku for over 30 years and am a very serious haiku poet. I would love to receive any comments you may have about my haiku! 🙂 Drop by any time!

    Warm Respect and Admiration,

  14. Elli, thanks so much for the follow. You know art is all around us – the fabric of life itself is art. Beauty is nature and vice-versa. I love your approach and your view of the world. My husband is an Oglala Sioux Indian from South Dakota and in his traditional way, everything the Creator touches is beauty. It is god to see someone else who shares this view. I cannot wait to see what you show us!

  15. What a lovely blog you have! Found because you were sweet enough to sign up to follow Learning from Dogs. Thank you so much. Oh, from 1986 to 1991 I lived in Larnaca in Cyprus – got to learn a few Greek words!

  16. Thank you very much for following my blog, Elli! Much appreciated. I am curious to see, what posts of yours will show up in my reader from now on.

  17. Hi Elli, so nice to meet you. Your blog promises to be fun and informative, you have my attention;-). Thank you for visiting and following my blog.
